Solutions to common issues and problems
This guide covers common issues and how to resolve them.
Calendar Issues
Calendar not syncing
- Check that you've granted calendar permissions in Google Account settings
- Try disconnecting and reconnecting your calendar from Settings
- Verify your internet connection is stable
- Manual sync can be triggered from the Calendar page
Duplicate events appearing
- Check your selected calendars in Settings — if two selected calendars contain copies of the same events, both copies count as busy time
- Refresh the page to clear cached events
"App Schedule" calendar not showing in Google Calendar
- The calendar is created automatically when you schedule your first task
- Check that it's not hidden in Google Calendar settings
- Try creating a test task to trigger calendar creation
Scheduling Issues
Tasks not being scheduled automatically
- Check the task's auto-scheduling toggle isn't turned off
- Ensure the task's time window has open hours before its due date
- Check that the task's time window isn't paused
- If a task is marked "do not split," a single continuous slot must be long enough to hold it
- Samvise shows a reason when a task can't be placed — start there
Tasks scheduled at wrong times
- Review your time window settings
- Check your time zone is set correctly in Settings
- Provide more specific due dates and priorities
- You can always manually adjust scheduled times
Scheduling conflicts with existing events
- Samvise should automatically avoid conflicts
- If conflicts occur, check that calendar sync is working
- Try refreshing your calendar data
- Manually reschedule the conflicting task
Authentication Issues
Can't sign in with Google
- Make sure you're using a supported browser
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Disable browser extensions that might block OAuth
- Try using an incognito/private window
Session keeps expiring
- This is normal after extended periods of inactivity
- Check your browser isn't blocking cookies
- Sign in again to refresh your session
"Access denied" error
- You may have declined required permissions
- Sign out and sign in again, granting all permissions
- Check Google Account settings for connected apps
Performance Issues
App is slow or unresponsive
- Clear your browser cache
- Check your internet connection speed
- Try using a different browser
- Disable unnecessary browser extensions
- Close other tabs to free up memory
Page won't load
- Check if samvise.io is accessible (service status)
- Try refreshing the page
- Clear browser cache and cookies
- Try a different browser or device
Chat Assistant Issues
Chat assistant responses are slow
- This can happen during high traffic periods
- Check your internet connection
- Wait a moment and try again
Chat says the session is full
- Long chat sessions are capped — start a new chat to continue
- Your previous conversation stays available in the chat history list
Can't find a previous conversation
- Opening chat starts a fresh conversation by default
- Use the chat history list to reopen any earlier session
- Check that chat history is enabled in Settings > Chat (conversations aren't saved while it's off)
Chat assistant giving incorrect suggestions
- Suggestions are based on available data
- Provide more context in your prompts
- Double-check calendar sync is working
- You can always override suggestions
Data & Privacy
How to export my data
- Go to Settings
- Click "Export Data"
- Choose format — JSON (everything) or CSV (per table)
- Download the exported file
How to delete my account
- Go to Settings
- Request account deletion
- Confirm the request (it expires after 24 hours if unconfirmed, and you can cancel before confirming)
- All data will be permanently deleted
Revoking calendar access
- Go to Google Account > Security > Third-party apps
- Find Samvise and click "Remove access"
- Note: This will disable scheduling features

Known Issues
- Safari private browsing may have limited functionality
- Some features require JavaScript enabled
- Cookies must be enabled for authentication
