Connection Process

Grant Permissions
- Go to Settings > Calendar
- Click "Connect Google Calendar"
- Sign in to your Google account
- Review permissions requested

Required Permissions
- calendar.readonly - Read event times and titles from all calendars
- calendar.app.created - Manage the "App Schedule" calendar

Confirm Connection
- Click "Allow" to grant permissions
- Wait for initial sync to complete
- You'll see your calendars listed in settings
What Data Is Accessed?
From Your Selected Calendars:
- Event start and end times (to detect busy periods)
- Event titles
App Schedule Calendar:
- Samvise creates and manages events only in this calendar
- Your other calendars are never modified
Privacy & Security
- OAuth tokens are stored securely and never exposed to the browser
- Minimal data is read from your calendar
- Event times and titles may be used by the AI assistant to answer your scheduling questions — see the Privacy Policy
- You can disconnect at any time
Managing Calendars
Choosing Calendars to Sync Go to Settings > Google Calendar to choose which of your calendars Samvise reads for busy time (up to 5 on the free plan).
Disconnecting Click "Disconnect" in calendar settings. This will:
- Remove Samvise's access to your calendar
- Disable automatic scheduling features
- Keep existing scheduled tasks (they won't be deleted)
Reconnecting You can reconnect your calendar at any time by following the connection process again.
Troubleshooting
Connection fails
- Make sure you're signed in to the correct Google account
- Grant all requested permissions
- Check your internet connection
- Try again in an incognito/private window
Calendar not syncing
- Check the sync status in Settings > Google Calendar
- Check that permissions haven't been revoked
- Verify the calendar is selected for sync in Settings
"App Schedule" calendar not appearing
- The calendar is created when you schedule your first task
- Check it's not hidden in Google Calendar settings
- Try creating a test task to trigger creation
