Data Export
Export your data and delete your account
Data Export
You own your data. Export it anytime, or delete your account entirely.
Why Export Data
Backup — keep a local copy of your data.
Migration — take your task history with you.
Analysis — look at your tasks and schedule in a spreadsheet.
Compliance — data portability is your right.
Export Formats
JSON (Complete)
What's Included
- Tasks, scheduled blocks, and time windows
- Projects and comments
- Settings and preferences
- Chat sessions and notifications
Best For
- Complete backups
- Maximum data preservation
CSV (Spreadsheet)
Export a single table as CSV, or all tables at once as a ZIP of CSV files.
Available Tables
- Settings, time windows, projects, tasks, scheduled blocks, busy blocks, comments, chat sessions, notifications
Best For
- Analysis in Excel/Google Sheets
- Reporting and sharing task lists
Limitations
- Flat tables — relationships aren't preserved the way JSON preserves them
Exporting Data
- Go to Settings > Account
- Under "Export your data," choose the format — JSON, or CSV (pick a table or "all")
- Download the file
Not Included (for security)
- OAuth tokens
- Passwords
Using Exported Data
In Spreadsheets
- Open CSV files directly in Excel or Google Sheets
- Analyze completion rates, time per window, task velocity
Migrating to Other Tools
- Most task managers accept CSV imports — export the tasks table and map the columns in the target tool
Account Deletion
Before Deleting
- Export your data first — deletion is permanent
- Review the deletion preview (it shows exactly what will be removed)
Deletion Process
- Export data you want to keep
- Request deletion from Settings
- Confirm the request
Confirmation Window
- An unconfirmed request expires after 24 hours
- You can cancel the request any time before confirming
- Once confirmed, deletion is permanent and cannot be undone
What Happens to Your Data
- All personal data is deleted: tasks, schedules, time windows, projects, settings
- Google Calendar integration is disconnected
- The "App Schedule" calendar remains in your Google account — you own it and can delete it yourself
Data Portability
Under GDPR and similar laws you have the right to access, export, correct, and delete your data. Samvise's export covers all your product data in standard formats (JSON, CSV).
Best Practices
Regular Backups — export periodically and before major cleanups.
Verify Exports — open the file and check the data is complete.
Secure Storage — exports contain all your task data; store them safely and don't share publicly.
