Configure your Samvise account, preferences, and integrations

Settings

Customize Samvise to match your workflow. Open Settings from the user menu (or press G then S).

Appearance

Theme

  • Light, dark, or system (follows your OS setting)

Time Format

  • 12-hour (AM/PM) or 24-hour clock
  • Affects all time displays across the app

Density

  • Adjust how compact the interface is

Accent Color

  • Personalize the interface accent

Chat

Chat History

  • Toggle whether conversations are saved
  • Clear all chat history anytime

Auto-Apply Reversible Actions

  • ON (default): reversible AI actions (creating or editing tasks, moving blocks) run immediately, with an Undo button afterwards
  • OFF: every AI action waits for your confirmation first
  • Destructive actions (like deleting tasks) always require explicit confirmation, regardless of this setting

Allow File Sharing with AI

  • Controls whether attachments you add in chat are shared with the AI model

Chat Context Messages

  • How many recent messages the assistant considers

Custom Instructions

  • Tell the assistant how you'd like it to respond

Scheduling

Maximum Block Duration

  • The longest single work session the scheduler will create (default: 2 hours)
  • Longer tasks are split into multiple sessions — unless marked "do not split," in which case they're kept whole

Buffer Between Tasks

  • Optional break inserted between consecutive blocks (off by default; 5-60 minutes)

Default Time Window

  • The time window assigned to new tasks unless you pick another

How Samvise Schedules

  • Blocks are placed inside the task's assigned time window
  • Higher-priority tasks are scheduled first; overdue tasks get top priority
  • Scheduling starts from the next full hour

Timezone

  • Critical for accurate scheduling — all times are interpreted in your timezone
  • Changing it updates your schedule automatically

Google Calendar

Connection

  • Connect or disconnect your Google account
  • See connection and sync status

Calendars to Sync

  • Choose which of your calendars Samvise reads for busy time (up to 5 on the free plan)

Automatic Sync

  • Changes sync automatically in the background
  • Samvise writes only to its own "App Schedule" calendar

Calendar Display

  • Choose how events are colored
  • Toggle priority indicators on blocks

Email and in-app channels, per-type toggles, reminder lead time, and quiet hours. See Notifications.

Rate Limits

  • Download everything as JSON, or individual tables as CSV

Delete Account

  • Permanently delete your account and data
  • Requires confirmation; an unconfirmed request expires after 24 hours

Saving Changes

Settings save automatically as you change them — a confirmation appears when a change is stored.
